Hocus Pocus...What?????

This deserves it own special post:

On this past Monday night we were invited to a house church. They were talking about the 7 keys in finding your destiny. Everything started off OK by singing worship songs and praying. That is about as normal as it got.

Next this man got up and started talking about supernatural powers. He introduced us to an Indian man that claimed to have raised people from the dead. We started looking at each other in disbelief. He was talking about healing the sick and making the blind see.

At the very end of the message about finding our destiny they wanted to pray over everyone. The man told us that he knew there was 2 different types of people in the room: 1) person that already learned this information and needed to act on it and 2) person that was living with a lot of regret. All 3 of us didn't think we fell into either one of those categories.

We were just going to get in line for option number 1 but then we saw that as the Indian man was praying over each person that they were falling on the floor. That was just freaky. We decided to skip being prayed over and slip out the back door to see if they needed help getting dinner ready. We did think about leaving but they basically wouldn't let us leave until we ate.

While we were waiting for dinner the power went out. Everything was black all up and down the street. When we were able to eat, we rushed! We did sneak out the back gate and caught the last bus to our apt.

We know that the healing of the sick and blind can happen but they acted like it was an everyday thing. They did not view it as a miracle. I think that is why we were so skeptical of the whole thing.
