Updating...

Thank you for all of your support this summer. We could not be doing all of these if it weren't for all your prayers. The kids are loving every minute of us hanging out with them. I probably should say they are enjoying every minute they can hang all over us.

Saturday we taught again out on the island. We have taught them how to do the Hokey Pokey, If your Happy and You know it and The Wheels on the Bus. They always have a good time when we teach them songs that include motions. This Saturday we plan to stay on the island overnight. That is something no tourist has ever done. Saturday we ate Sushi (pictures to follow) to celebrate July 4th. It was rather delicious.

Sunday morning we got up and went to the Sunday market. You can buy anything there. We saw cats, dogs, tools, etc. It was an experience. It was very crowded and hot. That night we went to a Malay speaking church service. It was great to fellowship with others even though we don't speak the same language.

Monday we taught math and English again. As you can tell we are getting into a routine. We thought we were going to have the afternoon to relax but other plans were made for us. We ended up heading into the city to meet up with others and we enjoyed a great time of fellowship. We ate grilled shrimp, sweet potatoes, salad and of course no meal is complete without rice. We didn't' get back to the apartment until late.

Today we started reviewing all the English we had taught and some of the math. The kids were wild today. They love jumping on us and playing games. Today was the first time that we had to break up a fight between two girls. One girl did not want to stop. Even as we walked back to the car she was still kicking and hitting people. The amazing thing about these kids is that they may fight with each other one minute but they are best friends that next. We plan to have the afternoon off and enjoy some down time. We are planning on making chicken tacos tonight and watch a Bolliwood movie back at the apartment. It will be nice to have a little time to chill.

Again thank you to all of my faithful blog followers. Things are quickly winding down here. We are going to start traveling either next Wednesday or Thursday. These days are flying by. It is hard to believe that the summer is going by so fast.
